NBA 2017 MVP race – part 9

(Originally posted on Saturday, 18 February 2017)

All the data I used I found on this site:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/

On 13 February 2017 the Golden State Warriors recorded their 9th loss of the season and now there are no teams with less the 9 losses.

With the assumptions described in this post:
http://glen-cook-fan-site.blogspot.com/2016/11/nba-2017-mvp-race-part-1.html ,
according to the data from the games up to 13 February 2017 the current NBA 2017 MVP race list is this:

1. James Harden: 2542.85      (projected team wins: 58)
2. Kevin Durant: 2505.40      (projected team wins: 69)
3. Stephen Curry: 2108.34      (projected team wins: 69)
4. Russell Westbrook: 2059.99      (projected team wins: 45)
5. LeBron James: 1993.77      (projected team wins: 57)
6. Kawhi Leonard: 1897.58      (projected team wins: 63)
7. Isaiah Thomas: 1726.49      (projected team wins: 54)
8. John Wall: 1708.84      (projected team wins: 50)
9. Kyle Lowry: 1487.21      (projected team wins: 48)
10. Klay Thompson: 1475.06      (projected team wins: 69)

James Harden is back at the top of the list and Russell Westbrook fell behind Stephen Curry. By the way: the MVP value of Isaiah Thomas increased significantly, but not as much as the MVP value of James Harden.
