This album is PURE GOLD

“This album is PURE GOLD.” I have to say that I fully agree with this opinion. I found the opinion among the comments to this Youtube video:

How lyrics (right-click and “open in a new tab/window”):

The song (How) comes from a debut studio album by The Cranberries titled "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?" that was released in 1993. The song was never a single, but I love it as much as I love the song Wanted (from the same album):

Wanted lyrics (right-click and “open in a new tab/window”):

The recent death of Dolores O'Riordan (the female singer of the band) and the opinion above made me want to own the whole album (previously I heard only some of the songs). Originally this album featured 12 songs, but it was later re-released with 6 bonus tracks from the years 1991-1993 (4 additional songs and 2 remixes) that fit the original album perfectly. I have just bought this extended edition:

The best thing about this album is the fact that it was released before Dolores O'Riordan developed a less natural image (like in the music videos for the singles from their second album) that combined with a change in the band's music (the second album is darker and harsher). The first album ("Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?") may be melancholic but it is also beautiful and very melodic. PURE GOLD.

Rest in peace Dolores.
