We (me and my daughter) just came back from the cinema (yes, in Poland The Rise of Skywalker is already in the cinemas, even though Internet sites say the release date in Poland is 19 December 2019) and I have only one thing to say: J. J. Abrams is a genius. The movie is far from perfect, but still MUCH better than I thought it would be.
After the terrible Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (written and directed by Rian Johnson) I wondered what J. J. Abrams could do. Well, he did great. As the saviour of the Star Wars franchise The Rise of Skywalker suited my taste almost perfectly. Of course there were some glaring illogicalities, but they were nothing when compared to The Last Jedi. Great job, J. J. Abrams!
