Migraines can be caused by yellow cheese

(Originally posted on Saturday, 20 July 2019)

I rarely have headaches, but yesterday I had a big one. At one point I felt as if I were about to throw up. Yesterday I ate yellow cheese three time in a span of 7 hours: first time around 7 o'clock (before my work), the second time around 10 o'clock (in a sandwich at work) and the third time at around 14 o'clock (in another sandwich at work). At first my headache was very mild but it was getting bigger and bigger over time. When I was feeling very sick one thought kept repeating in my head: “You shouldn't eat yellow cheese”.

I came back from work and I immediately asked my wife if yellow cheese past the expiration date can poison me a little. I actually had no idea if the yellow cheese I ate was past the expiration date, but that was the only explanation to me, however my wife told me something that was shocking to me.

My wife told me that one of her female colleagues used to have terrible migraines. She suffered so much that she even got her brain examined by doctors, but they didn't find anything worrying. At last one of the doctors started to inquire about her diet and told her that she should stop eating yellow cheese (she ate it regularly). When she stopped eating yellow cheese the migraines disappeared instantly.

Suddenly everything fell into place – I rarely ate yellow cheese, so I rarely had headaches. Now when I think about it I feel pretty convinced that yellow cheese was the reason for my headaches. People with terrible migraines should verify their diet in terms of yellow cheese too.
