NBA 2019 MVP race (part 10) and NBA 2019 MFPs (part 4)

Part 10 = the end of week 20. Please remember that the season started on Tuesday, so to me every week ends with games played on Monday.

Before the 2018-19 season is over I have to make mathematical projections of the MVP and the MFP values. The assumption behind the projections is that every player and every team will play exactly the same way they have been playing so far (the numbers of projected team wins are rounded to whole numbers).

With the assumptions described above, according to the data from the end of week 20 the current NBA 2019 MVP race list is this:

1. Giannis Antetokounmpo:    2375.6    (projected team wins: 62)
2. James Harden:    2178.1    (projected team wins: 49)
3. Kevin Durant:    2151.8    (projected team wins: 57)
4. Nikola Jokic:    1903.0    (projected team wins: 55)
5. Paul George:    1888.1    (projected team wins: 51)

Giannis Antetokounmpo is still the clear leader of the race. James Harden climbed to the second place, but Kevin Durant is right behind him. Paul George missed some games and his team's projected number of wins decreased by 2, so his MVP value decreased considerably.

There are currently 5 players who are in the top-30 both on the MVP list and on the MFP list: Karl-Anthony Towns (17th and 5th), Anthony Davis (28th and 6th), Nikola Vucevic (23rd and 8th), Kemba Walker (29th and 13th) and Blake Griffin (20th and 21st).
